Aston Martin DBR1/2
The Aston Martin DBR1/2 is the 1959 Le Mans winning car and widely acknowledged as one of the most beautiful sportscars ever created. Naturally therefore it provides an inspiring shape to draw and paint with its voluptuous curves.
Through his connections in the motorsport world Andrew has been able to gain access to two of the car's most famous drivers: Sir Stirling Moss and Tony Brooks, both of whom were happy to meet him in their homes to sign the original painting. A couple of more recent drivers, Peter Hardman and Gregor Fisken, have also signed the painting. The original painting has been on display at the Aston Martin Owners Club headquarters and a full size print now hangs in the museum.
Full size prints (measuring approximately 760mm x 610mm) on box canvas are available to purchase - please contact the artist directly or make an enquiry via the AMOC shop : www.amoc.org
